Birthdays

Well May 25th is a busy day for birthdays at our house. It is not only Zach's birthday but it is also my sister Mica's birthday and Sean-Michael's birthday. So it sometimes can be bit hectic but I want to spend time with all of them. They are some of the most important people in my life. My life long best friend Mica and my more recent best friend Zach. So sometimes my day is a bit torn, but we were able to work it out this year as Zach is working graves he had to work Sunday night/Monday morning. So that left me some time in the morning to go and hang out with Mica and then we came home and spent the rest of the day with Zach. We do wish we could see Sean-Michael, however, that is not possible at this time. So I hope he knows that we wish him a Happy Birthday as well. I was really glad that I was able to get to be with the both Zach and Mica. So Happy Birthday Zach and Mica :)!!! So I was going to add pictures to this, but since I am not using my own computer I don't have the pictures I want to put on here...so next time :) Loves Tai

Just Bummed

Well I guess I am just being really bummed out today, not exactly sure as to why. I think it has to do with the fact that it has been a non stop week for me. Sarah was sick again this weekend and that always takes a lot out of me when she is miserable and I can't figure out how to make her fill better. However, she is doing better, but between her, work, and running around like a chicken with it's head cut off I am exhausted and could really use a mental day to get myself going again. I am not so sure when I might get that day to myself, but either way I will try and plan it and see if I actually get it....lol...Okay not going to happen buuuuuut it is always worth thinking about. I was thinking today that I wouldn't work overtime this weekend, buuuuut I have a hard time passing up overtime. Either way everyone pray that I get a day to relax or there might be some casualties...:) Nah no worries :)

Fairfield Ward Enrichment

Okay so I am part of the Enrichment Committee in my ward and I was in charge of starting a blog. Well I know that some in my ward follow my own blog so I wanted to let them know that they need to check out our Enrichment blog and help me out with the postings and spreading the word. So I am asking for some HELP ladies.

New Orleans

Well I wen to New Orleans a couple weeks back for work training. I had a real good time there. We stayed mostly to the city so I didn't see much of the damage that was caused by the Hurricane, but either way it was interesting. We stayed in a hotel right down town on Canal and Bourban so we got to hear a lot of loud music while there. The weekend before was Jazz Fest and so was the weekend we were leaving so a lot of people were there during the week and still having a blast. We were in training all day until 5pm most days so after that we were able to go sight seeing. Of course down town everything closed by 5pm or 6pm. So we had to save a lot of our sight seeing and shopping for the last day when we got out of training early. So we hit the flea market and all. While there I tried a lot of different foods...yes things that I have never had. The first night there I had a platter full of different fried foods, including fried crab, oysters, catfish, shrimp, craw fish tails, crab cake, and corn fitters. It was sooooo good, yes I even enjoyed the shrimp which I usually don't like at all. I also tried alligator and that was very tasty. There were a couple of things we were also told to try and they were good as well, Beignet's as well as Muffalta's both tasty. Well I of course can't go without showing some pictures. So enjoy.....
Me and Camille on the fairy crossing the Mississippi.
One of the cruise boats that goes out nightly for a dinner and cruise on the Mississippi(didn't do that one this time.)
Me, Ellen, and Camille with our balloon hats. Some random guy on Bourban stopped us and made these for us, of course afterwords he wanted money from us for making them...blah but they were fun so we couldn't resist.
Cathedral located by Jackson Square it was really beautiful`
Me and Camille with some Jazz man's statues at Cafe Beignet.
This was about the coolest thing ever, I had never seen Moslem's so it was really cool to check them out. Everyone in New Orleans is buried in these above ground because of the water levels that can come through. This is one of the most popular cemeteries in New Orleans. We took a trolley down to it and got some fabulous pictures.
