Thrush is a yeast infection that causes white patches in the mouth and on the tongue. Thrush is most common in babies and older adults, but it can occur at any age. Well now that we have the definition out of the way...guess what both of my babies ended up with Thrush. I don't know why, but my guess is because they both like to spit up a lot!

| But the stuff that we had to use to get rid of this is called Gentian Violet....this stuff turns everything PURPLE! It is funny and well you can't help take funny pictures of the kids with bright purple mouths...he he he. |

As you can see the stuff gets everywhere! And to boot, if they spit up on you shortly after you put that in their mouth...yup you are purple also. But one good thing is it gets rid of the Thrush! Plus we get to have these funny pictures of our babies with bright purple mouths...
